Angela Kepley teaches privately from her home studio in the suburbs of Chicago and works as a free-lance percussionist and pianist. She established a student percussion ensemble program in 2008 and continues to compose regularly for the group. Many of her compositions, available at C. Alan Publications, are pedagogically based and created specifically for the needs of beginner and intermediate percussionists.
Angela works as the percussion specialist and drumline instructor for Lyons Township High School and the percussion ensemble director for Gurrie Middle School. She has also taught classes at Moraine Valley Community College. Angela holds degrees from Millikin University and Northern Illinois University in music education and percussion performance. Angela has served as President and Vice President of the Illinois Chapter of the Percussive Arts Society and has performed at PASIC and the Illinois Day of Percussion. Angela Kepley is proud to be an Educational Artist with Marimba One. In addition to her musical endeavors, Angela also teaches barre, cycle, and yoga classes at FORM Fitness in LaGrange and is a certified reiki practitioner.
